Liz Pellegrini enters her second season on the coaching staff in 2017-18 following a successful career as a member of the team.
The 2016 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships 400-meter hurdle runner up will primarily handle publicity namely the team's Instagram account. She is also slated to help the sports information department with photography and interviews. Pellegrini was also invited to the national event twice as a member of the 4x100-meter relay.
In addition to the 2016 NEWMAC 400-meter hurdle crown, Pellegrini was a two-time NEWMAC 100-meter hurdle champion, the 400H runner up in 2014 to go along with a pair of second place finshes with the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams. The 2016 NEWMAC Track Athlete of the Year was a 30-time All-New England or ECAC performer, which included the 2015 New England Division III Outdoor 4x100-meter relay title.
In the classroom, the Presidental Scholarship recipient and Charles O. Thompson Scholar, earned her bachelors degree in biomedical engineering with a material science minor. She capped her career with an Academic All-America nod, as well as a rare key to the city of Worcester.
Pellegrini was also active on campus as a member of Tau Beta Pi and Alpha Xi Delta, and involved with Habitat for Humanity and Residence Hall Council.
