WORCESTER – Sophomore Casey Hunt (Granby, CT), junior Kat Hurlock (Burlington, CT) and freshman Abbie Gilbert (Hopkinton, MA) all hit over .500 in the first contest of the day as the WPI volleyball team swept a tri-match with Eastern Nazarene and Mass Maritime by 3-0 decisions Saturday in Harrington Auditorium.
The Engineers bested the Lions 25-15, 25-10, 25-15 and the Buccaneers 25-9, 25-5, 25-13. The neutral match saw Eastern Nazarene defeat Mass. Maritime 25-18, 25-20, 25-18.

Hunt led the Crimson and Gray attack with seven kills and zero errors (.583) as Hurlock and Gilbert each hit .538 (eight kills, one miscue). Senior Shay Feeley (Franklin, MA) tallied 23 assists and sophomore Azita Bakhtyari (Andover, MA) followed with 11. Junior Kelly Rathje (Scituate, MA) paced all student-athletes with 10 digs while classmate Ann Kaczowka (Seekonk, MA) and sophomore Victoria Nassar (Salem, NH) each chipped in with nine. Freshman Kassidy Utheim (Monroe Township, NJ) made the most of her first start by stuffing the stat sheet with four kills (.200) and a match-high four blocks to go along with two digs and a service ace.
Senior Joanna Joseph (Brockton, MA) led the Lions with five kills. Junior Lauryl Berger (Laurel, DE) handed out 14 of the visitors 16 assists and classmate Kayla Dean (Lansdale, PA) delivered eight digs.

The second match saw Kaczowka hit .438 (eight kills) and Rathje lead the team with nine digs. Feeley and Bakhtyari combined for 26 of 33 Engineer helpers.
Senior Emma Ethier (Norton, MA) recorded a match-best 10 digs as freshman Michelle Sheehan (Attleboro, MA) doled out 11 assists for Mass. Maritime

Joseph led all players with nine kills as Berger accounted for 18 of 23 assists and Dean and sophomore Monica Ly (Quincy, MA) to totaled 25 digs.
Freshman Marie Harrison (Weymouth, MA), senior Meaghan Brain (Hanson, MA) and sophomore Jennifer Roy (Attleboro, MA) tallied 16 of the Buccaneer kills to go with 16 helpers by Sheehan. Sophomore Jenelle Miller (Scituate, MA) and freshman Christina Ruggeri (Bourne, MA) came up with 24 digs.
WPI (17-4) heads to Trinity Saturday for a tri-match which includes Rhode Island College. First serve is at 11am. Eastern Nazarene (4-13) hosts Nichols Tuesday at 7pm and Mass. Maritime (4-17) entertains Salem State and Dean Monday at noon and 4pm.
