Men’s Student-Athlete of the Week
Jake Needleman - Basketball - Junior - Morganville, NJ
Jake Needleman from the basketball team has been honored as the WPI Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 5th. Needleman made his first game of 2020 a memorable one as he netted all of his 13 points in the first half of WPI’s 90-38 road victory at Framingham State. The junior also gobbled up a career-high nine rebounds and aided a defensive effort that equaled the fewest points allowed in the Chris Bartley era. In fact, the Engineers have not allowed fewer points in a game in 68 years, a span of 1,562 games.
