What the coaches are saying:

Football head coach Chris Robertson on Steve Mey - "Steve is one of the most selfless players in our program.  He has the respect of his peers and coaches and has respect for the game that few people do.  He has been a pleasure to coach for the past four years and will be missed in our family."

Women's Cross Country head coach Brian Chabot on Lora Dufresne - "I have never seen Lora without a smile on her face or an uplifting word for her teammates. She has been a positive force on our team despite the short time she has been with us."

Men's Cross Country head coach Brian Chabot on Logan Gaudette - "Logan has been a tremendous teammate since coming to WPI three years ago but what stands out even more is how respectful he is of fellow competitors. I could think of no better representative of what we value as a program than Logan."

Women's Soccer head coach Steph Riley-Schafer on Jill Comeau - "I can't think of a more deserving player on our team for this award then Jill. She has always held herself to a higher standard than most, both on and off the field. She is a competitor that shows great respect towards her opponents and the game of soccer itself. She is one of the most dedicated players I've coached, for four years she has been committed to our program, our school and the WPI Community better."

Men's Soccer head coach Brian Kelley on Jivan Purutyan - "Jivan is a great teammate and representative of our team. Jivan had a great season and he was at his best in postseason play, scoring a goal in the second round of the NCAA tournament. His sportsmanship and level of play is top-notch!

Women's Volleyball head coach Greg Poole on Abbie Gilbert - "Abbie represents everything that is great about our student athletes at WPI.  She is selfless and willing to do what is best for our volleyball program as a whole in order for us to be most successful."

Field Hockey head coach Lisa Moreau on Hannah LaRochelle - "Such a well-deserved honor for Hannah Larochelle as our sportsmanship winner.  She epitomizes what it means to be a student athlete. You could not ask for a better teammate."
