|Title:||Class of 1991|
Robert Rounds, through your hard work you have established yourself as among the top swimmers in the history of WPI.
You set the school reocrd in the 50, 60, 100, 200 and 220 freestyle as well as the 100 butterfly and the 200 individual medley. The ideal team performer, you were also a key link in the 400 medley and 400 freestyle relay teams.
You also left your mark on the New England swimming scene as you twice placed in the 50 and 100 freestyle at the New England Intercollegiate swimming championships in 1963 and 1964.
You were an active leader and were selected as team captain during your senior season. During your four years you scored 239 total points and earned four varsity letters. In your final campaign you were named WPI's outstanding senior athlete.
Robert Rounds, it is with great pleasure that we honor your athletic accomplishments tonight by inducting you into the WPI Athletic Hall of Fame.
