Gorham, ME --- Junior Tyler Howe (Danbury, CT) and senior Carl Anderson (Billerica, MA) both won a pair of matches to highlight WPI's performance Saturday at a quad meet hosted by Southern Maine.  The Engineers lost matches to NEWA rivals Southern Maine (42-9), Trinity (46-11) and Plymouth State (35-15) and are now 0-8 on the season.

Howe tallied a pin at 157 pounds versus Plymouth State and a tech fall over Trinity while Anderson registered a pin at 125 pounds versus Trinity and took a forfeit victory against Southern Maine.

Other WPI winners on the day included heavyweight Anthony Corbo (Port Washington, NY) against Southern Maine, and Alex Pittera (Salem, MA) and David Cardenas (Framingham, MA) at 141 and 174 respectively against Plymouth State.  Pittera's win came via a first period pin.

WPI returns to action on Wednesday, traveling to Providence for a 7pm match against Rhode Island College.
