Springfield MA --- Kyra Ashe (Longmeadow, MA) and Taylor Conley (Yarmouth Port, MA) registered goals as Springfield knocked off visiting WPI 2-1 in a NEWMAC field hockey contest played on Saturday afternoon.  Both teams are now 1-1 in conference play while the Pride improves to 6-3 overall and Engineers slips to 7-2 on the season.

Abby O'Sullivan (Walpole, MA) got WPI back in the game when she posted her team-best 13th goal of the year when she knocked home a feed from Kaitlyn Hess (Milford, NH) with 26 seconds left.  The Crimson and Gray however was not able to get another shot off before the game ended.
