WORCESTER --- Ticket information for the NEWMAC Men's Basketball Tournament championship game between fifth-seeded WPI and second-seeded Emerson was released on Friday afternoon. The match-up, scheduled for 1pm Saturday, will be held at Emerson's Brown & Plofker Gymnasium in Boston.
An extremely limited amount of tickets will be available to the general public Saturday morning at 11:30am at the Brown & Plofker Gymnasium. They will be available on a first-come, first basis and are expected to sell out in a short amount of time. The address of the facility is 150 Boylston St. - Boston, MA 02116 (please make sure to include the city and zip code on GPS).
Each team already has tickets assigned for player's families. There is still limited seating at court level and those families are suggested to arrive early to ensure a seat. There will be standing room only available in the skybox level.
There are several viewing locations around campus for those that can not make the game including the Foisie Innovation Studio's Connection Gallery and Amphitheater and Harrington Auditorium. Fans can also view the webcast on their own devices.
WPI will be appearing in their second straight NEWMAC Tournament championship game and tenth overall after defeating top-seed and No. 7 MIT 55-53 on a Colin McNamara buzzer-beating jump shot on Thursday evening. The Engineers are in search of their fourth NEWMAC title. Emerson is making their debut appearance in the conference's title tilt after knocking off third-seeded Springfield 80-69 at home on Thursday night.
