WPI is proud to unveil our newest feature "Hangin' with the Herd".  Check in throughout the next few weeks as we profile a different WPI student-athlete and learn more about why they chose WPI, they favorite memories of their team and time on Boynton Hill and some fun insight about them away from their sport. 

Today we feature Garrett Stephenson from Men's Basketball. Sofia is a junior from Townsend, MA.  He is majoring in management engineering.

1) Why did you choose WPI: I choose WPI because of the rare mix between engineering and business and I wanted to join a competitive and successful basketball program.  

2) Favorite Athletics moment at WPI:​ One more year to find out! 

3) Favorite Class at WPI: My favorite class at WPI was Professor Towner's BUS3020  Clock Lab. We learned a lot about Lean, Six Sigma, Kanbans, and production processes.  

4) Favorite (non-athletics facility) spot at WPI: My favorite spot would be the Campus Center, thats where everyone hangs out and where Dunkin Donuts is  

5) I wish I knew this on my first day at WPI: That the Library has the best wraps and sandwiches on campus

7) Guilty Pleasure (TV/Movie): Parks and Rec 

8) Favorite sports team growing up: Boston Celtics 

9) Go-to pregame meal: Believe me I haven't found one yet 

10) My coach is awesome because: He expects everyone's greatest efforts 

11) Funniest teammate: Normally me but I guess if I had to pick someone else I would say Kahleb Downing

12) Favorite or Least Favorite team road trip location: Tampa, Florida where I tore my MCL 

13) If I didn't play my current sport I would want to play: Soccer
