Saratoga Springs, NY --- WPI men's rowing concluded its fall season Saturday with a busy day at the Head of the Fish Regatta in Saratoga Springs. NY.
The racing saw WPI's veterans utilize a lot of smaller boats as many rowers have left B term for IQP Projects across the globe. A pair of four shells won silvers with Nathan Pietrowicz (Worcester, MA), Brede Doerner (Branford, CT), Michael Eaton (Exeter, NH), Jeremy Hemingway (Westford, MA) and coxswain Kelsey Regan (Winchendon, MA) finishing second (11:40.96) in the A race just three tenths of a second from first and James Vorosmarti (Center Valley, PA), Chris Sample (Groveland, MA), Matthew Ryder (Lebanon, NH), Jackson Krupnick (Asheville, NC) coxswain Julianna Mello (Dartmouth, MA) also placing second among B boats. The double of Eaton and Nick Cebry (Bedford, MA) rowed to a third place bronze medal in a time of 12:35.35.
The novices took center stages in the eight races with the A boat placing sixth (11:07.56) and the B entry finishing 23rd (12:23.74).
WPI will be back in action in early April for the spring portion of its season.
