The NERC All-Scholar award recognizes the student-athlete from each program that holds the highest cumulative grade point average. For a student-athlete to be recognized to the NIRC All-Academic Team they must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.35 and be recognized as a varsity letter winner. Freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible for either award. Coaches are also able to nominate one student-athlete per program for additional recognition as a member of the NIRC All-Stewards Team.
Men's Rowing, guided by 19th-year head coach Larry Noble, retained the Class of 2003 and Baker Cups while finishing fifth at the NERC and sixth at the NIRC. The varsity eight also took 10th out of 37 entries at the Head of the Charles.
