WORCESTER -- WPI Men's Rowing saw six boats participate in their first of two homes meets of the fall season as the Engineers hosted the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta Saturday on Lake Quinsigamond.
In the Collegiate Eight the Engineers saw their varsity eight place fourth overall in a time of 14:17.9, behind Division I Holy Cross (13:59.1), Trinity (14:07.8) and Williams (14:08.0). The second varsity eight rowed well, finishing seventh with a time of 14:44.1.
The novices enjoyed an outstanding day as the first boat claimed gold (16:35.0) and the second entry earned silver (17:46.7).
In fours racing, WPI had a pair of boats competing as the first entry logged a fourth place showing (17:13.0) and the second entry tallied a seventh place finish (17:25.1).
Up next the Crimson and Gray compete in the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta Sunday at 2:32pm.
