WPI sees its season come to an end with a 16-14 overall record and 8-8 in conference play while Wellesley grabs the sixth and final tournament bid with a 18-12 record and an identical 8-8 mark in the NEWCAC.

The Pioneers rolled into game two, exploding with fourteen hits to take the second game 14-0. With the sweep, Smith improves to 15-15 overall and 8-6 in the NEWMAC competition.

With the wins, WPI improves to 16-8 overall and 8-2 in NEWMAC action. Babson falls to 17-12-1 on the season and 6-4 in conference play.
Dudley, MA - The Nichols College softball team were swept away by WPI on Wednesday afternoon, losing 8-4 and 9-2 in the doubleheader match-up. With the sweep, Nichols slips to 10-8 overall on the season. The pair of victories improve WPI's record to 14-8 overall on the year. WPI pitchers silenced the Bison bats during game two, while the Engineers muscled up winning game one by the long ball.
Norton, MA --- For the second straight day, the Wheaton College softball team split a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) doubleheader, as the Lyons fell in the first game to Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), 5-2 on Saturday at Clark Field before regrouping for a 12-7 victory during game two. The twinbill was originally slated to take place at WPI, as the Engineers still played as the home team. The Lyons are 15-11 overall and tied for second in the league at 7-3, while first-place WPI is 12-7 and 6-2.
