Kent Leads Women’s Swimming & Diving Past Babson

Babson Park, MA --- The Engineers of women's swimming and diving defeated the Beavers of Babson, 125-109 on Saturday afternoon. WPI's record now stands at 2-1 while Babson falls to 1-2.

Sonja Kent (West Boylston, MA) had an impressive day, winning the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:03.52. Kent also had the top finish in the 200 butterfly (2:18.41) and the 500 freestyle (5:26.12).

Alana Aubin (Taunton, MA) was another top performer, winning the 200 freestyle with a 2:02.76 and the 100 freestyle with a 56.36.

Kelin Song (Providence, RI) won the 200 IM with a 2:22.54. Song also came in third in the 200 breaststroke (2:49.84).

Sarah Dinwoodie (East Greenwich, RI) came in second in the 200 backstroke with a 2:19.78 and fourth in the 50 freestyle (27.09).

Nica Sylvia (Martha's Vineyard, MA) won the one-meter diving with a 219.75 and the three-meter diving with a 219.65.

The Crimson and Gray face their next challenge on Friday, November 18th as they travel to Assumption for a meet that includes Bridgeport.
