Men's Swimming and Diving Falls at NEWMAC Rival Babson

Babson Park, MA --- The WPI men's swimming and diving team lost at Babson, 124-97, on Saturday afternoon. The Beavers improve their record to 3-0 while the Engineers fall to 0-3.

Nick Houghton (Berkley, MA) lead the Crimson and Gray, winning the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:13.95. Houghton also came in second in the 500 freestyle with a 4:57.73.

Nick Catano (Goffstown, NH) placed second in the 200 freestyle with a 1:52.87. He also had a third place finish in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:12.30.

Cullen O'Brien (Bar Harbor, ME) had a second place finish in the 50 freestyle with a 23.53. O'Brien also had a third place finish in the 200 breaststroke.

Rob Cakounes (Chelmsford, MA) finished second in the 200 breaststroke.

Ben Collins (Newbury, MA) came in third in the 200 freestyle with a 1:56.70 and third in the 100 freestyle with a 51.41.   

The Engineers will look for their first win on Friday, November 18th as they face Bridgeport at Assumption.
