Women's Swimming and Diving Competes at New England Invitational

Middletown, CT --- Emily Martin (Penfield, NY) led the WPI women's swimming and diving team with a trio of top-10s at the non-scoring New England Invitational on Saturday at Wesleyan.

Martin was third in the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.91) and was joined by Taylor Briseno (Mansfield, MA) who touched the wall eighth (1:02.71). Martin also finished seventh in the 50-yard butterfly (28:33) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:05.05).

Eva Childers (Henniker, NH) completed the 100-yard freestyle third in a time of 11:23.55 and added a sixth-place time of 2:20.73) in the 200-yard IM. Marissa Patterson (Hampton Falls, NH)  swam to an eighth-place 29.68 in the 50-yard backstroke and Nysa Casha (Andover, MA) was ninth in the 100-yard freestyle (58.30).

The Engineers welcome Babson, Brandeis and Smith to the Sports and Recreation Center on Saturday for a 1pm meet.
