Kingston, RI --- Thomas Kostelak (Bernardsville, NJ) set an all-time personal best mark in the 800-meter and betters his DIII New England qualifying mark with a time of 1:57.23 (8th place) as Men's Track and Field competed in the Coaches Tribute Invitational hosted by the University of Rhode Island on Saturday afternoon.
The event saw the Engineers compete in a field dominated by Division I and Division II programs. Stephen Kocienski (Schaghticoke, NY) had a 50.07 (4th) in the 400 meter dash and a 23.36 (11th) in the 200 meters. Joey Collins (Standish, ME) had another strong performance, clocking a 23.18 (6th) in the 200 meter dash and a 51.02 (8th) in the 400 meters. Edmund Eduah (Accra, Ghana) totaled a 42-2 (6th) in the triple jump.
Tristin Richardson (Attleboro Falls, MA) and Nick Everett (Natick, MA) posted 9th (6-0.50) and 12th (5-10.50) place finishes respectively in the high jump while Charles Plummer (Westboro, MA) (12-9.50) and Connor Morette (Leominster, MA) (12-3.50) did the same in the pole vault. Nate Martel (Standish, ME) had a solid day of throws, placing 10th in the weight throw (48-8.75) and 14th in the shot put (42-8)
The Crimson and Gray continue their season when they head to the Boston University Valentine Invitational next Saturday.
