The field events saw freshman Bridget Wirtz (Branford, CT) clear 11-2.5 and sophomore Johann Bradley (Slidell, LA) clear 15-0.25 in the pole vault while junior Faye Gauthier (West Warwick, RI) and senior Kendra O'Malley (Charlton, MA) were half of the hammer participants, and only collegiate entries, and sent the projectile 143-7 and 138-2, respectively.
Sophomore Arden Tanner (Ventura, CA), senior Michelle Gencorelli (Andover, MA), freshman Katherine Pawlak (Westford, MA) and freshman Janelle Knight (Santa Barbara, CA) handed in a 48.94 in the 4x100-meter relay to place second in what became a head-to-head matchup with a foursome from Colby. Graduate Student Kyle Gerlach (Smithfield, RI), who began his collegiate career in 2011-12, concluded with a 10:24.35 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

He later finished second to classmate Quinton Schimmel (Monroe Township, NJ) in the 400-meter hurdles. The one-on-one competition saw Schimmel post a 56.80 and Gaziano clock a 1:00.26.
Senior Michelle Gencorelli (Andover, MA) then raced to a 26.22 in the 200-meter dash, which was .18 off her NEICAAA time from Friday. Classmate Michael Brady (Medway, MA) closed out WPI's entries on the track, and his career, with a 15:30.08 in the 5,000-meter run.
More student-athletes are in action tomorrow at MIT or Ohio Wesleyan.
