Geneva, OH --- Ryan Wittenberg (Bedford, NH) advanced to the 800-meter run final with his performance on the second day of the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Mount Union and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, at the SPIRE Institute.
Wittenberg, who was vying for one of the top-two places at the last turn, finished third in his heat with a time of 1:51.97. Of the three spots secured by time, his performance ranked second. He will also be one of five student-athletes seeking a second 800m All-America nod in 2019 while last year's outdoor third-place finisher was the last man in.
The title race is slated for 2pm tomorrow.
