Poly Club Inducts Six into WPI Athletics Hall of Fame; Vassallo Earns Harrington Award
October 07, 2019The WPI Athletic Department, Poly Club, and Hall of Fame Selection Committee is proud to announce its 37th Class, the Class of 2019. The six newest members were inducted on Friday, October 4th as part of Homecoming Weekend. The inductees include: John Bibinski '84 (Football), Kristen (Garza) Reader '11 (Women's Soccer), Steve Graveline '87 (Wrestling), Don Maki '80 (Baseball), Larry Noble (Men's Rowing Coach) and Jason Steele (Women's Rowing Coach). To kick off the evening, Helen Vassallo was recognized as the Frank C. Harrington (1898) Award recipient. -
Latest Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) Update - Normal Scheduling Resumes November 4th
September 23, 2019In recent weeks, concerns about the mosquito-borne illness Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) in the region have increased considerably. The city and state have urged residents to follow guidelines to reduce risk, in particular, by avoiding outdoor activities from dusk to dawn when mosquitoes are most active. -

McNamara Boasts Bronze with Team USA in World Rowing Under 23 Championships
August 01, 2019Sarasota, FL --- WPI graduate Kinsey McNamara (Chelmsford, MA) and Team USA’s women’s eight recently earned bronze at the 2019 World Rowing Under 23 Championships. The event was held at Nathan Benderson Park where McNamara and the WPI varsity eight also collected bronze at the NCAA Division III Championships during the Engineers first-ever appearance at the national regatta in 2018. -

July 15, 2019WORCESTER – Led by three-time selections Eva Barinelli (Tewksbury, MA) and Madeline Burke (Verona, NJ), and 2019 NCAA Elite 90 honoree Sarah St. Pierre (Maynard, MA), 10 WPI women's rowers were recognized as National Scholar-Athletes for their work on the lake and in the classroom by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA). -
Kinsey McNamara Selected to Compete at 2019 World Rowing Under 23 Championships
July 12, 2019Princeton, NJ --- WPI recent graduate Kinsey McNamara (Chelmsford, MA) has been selected to compete for the United States at the upcoming 2019 World Rowing Under 23 Championships July 24-28 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, FL. Believed to be the first Division III representative in the women's eight since at least 2005, McNamara has earned a spot in the five seat. -
Women's Rowing's Hovermale and McNamara Named CRCA All-Americans
July 11, 2019WORCESTER – Recent WPI graduate Kinsey McNamara (Chelmsford, MA) and rising senior Christine Hovermale (Alameda, CA) have been named as 2019 Pocock Division III All-Americans by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA). McNamara, the NEWMAC Rower of the Year, was named to the first team while Hovermale, a first teamer a year ago, was selected to the second team.
