Kansas City, MO --- The WPI women's soccer program has earned the United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award for the second consecutive year. College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2018-19 academic year.
In addition to being one of nine eligible and participating NEWMAC representatives, the Steph Riley-Schafer's charges tied Western Kentucky University, University of St. Thomas, University of South Carolina, University of North Florida, University of North Carolina-Charlotte, University of Indianapolis, University of Findlay, McNeese State University, Duke University, Davidson College, Dallas Baptist University, Colby College, Coastal Carolina University, and Brown University for 103rd on the scroll that features 648 intercollegiate institutions, including all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA, with a 3.58 GPA. WPI also received team accolades in 2011, 2012 and 2015.
The 2019-20 Engineers travel to Northampton to tangle with Smith at noon.
