2016 NSCAA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year

Danielle Parenteau begins her sixth season as an assistant coach for the WPI women's soccer team in 2019.

The Engineers have enjoyed extended success with Parenteau on staff, highlighted by a banner year in 2016 which featured a number of program firsts cluminating with their first NEWMAC Championship, NCAA tournament appearance and NSCAA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year honors. The 16-2-3 club boasted the best single-season winning percentage (.833) while being the first to host any round of the conference tournament, as well as the semifinals and finals following a 8-1-1 conference schedule. The Engineers traveled to Geneva, NY and played a double overtime draw with Trinity (CT), who advanced via penalty kicks.

The standout forward and midfielder ranks second in program history with 24 career helpers at MCLA, incuding back-to-back seven assist seasons in her junior and senior campaigns. Parenteau served as co-captain of the Trailblazers 2010 squad that captured the MASCAC regular season title and earned a spot in the ECAC Division III Women's Soccer Championship semifinals for the second consecutive season.
