Mullins, Wetmore and Miloshi Guide Women’s Volleyball to Season-Opening Win

Dudley, MA --- WPI junior Colleen Mullins (Andover, MA), sophomore Amanda Wetmore (Hudson, NH) and freshman Suela Miloshi (Needham, MA) all totaled six kills in a 3-0 (25-10, 25-14, 25-19) season-opening victory Friday night at Nichols.

Miloshi paced the Engineers defense with seven digs to go with six from Mullins. Senior Casey Hunt (Granby, CT) added five swipes and five digs, and classmate Azita Bakhtyari (Andover, MA) handed out 26 of the team's 31 assists. Sophomore Kayleigh Campbell (Wilbraham, MA) chipped in with a pair of service aces.

Junior Megan Gardner amassed a match-high 11 kills for the Bison.

The Crimson and Gray head down Park Ave for the Worcester City Tournament hosted this year by Clark. WPI will face Worcester State at 11am and Husson at 1pm. Nichols travels to Eastern Connecticut for a 2pm with Mitchell and a 4pm with the host Warriors.
