Nassar averaged 16.5 digs and added seven aces and three assists as the Crimson and Gray went 2-2 last week, including 1-1 against other regionally-ranked opponents. The tri-captain began her week my amassing 19 digs as the Engineers stayed in the race for a NEWMAC Tournament home match with a 3-1 road win at Wheaton. Nassar's strong week of play was highlighted by being named to the All-Tournament team at the Hall of Fame Invitational where she posted double digits digs against Trinity (16), Hamilton (21) and Amherst (10).
She joins Colleen Mullins as the second WPI selection in the past three weeks and is the program's first libero to earn a weekly accolade since Joan Porambo in 2010. Babson sophomore Allie Puccio (New Hartford, NH) earned the league's offensive accolade.
Volleyball (20-6, 5-3 NEWMAC) hosts Clark (12-12, 2-6) Tuesday as part of Senior Night at 7pm, and closes out the regular season Saturday at nationally-ranked MIT (22-4, 7-1).
