WORCESTER – Amanda Wetmore (Hudson, NH) hit .500 with a match-high 12 kills and zero errors as host WPI defeated Suffolk, 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-13), in a non-conference women's volleyball match Tuesday night in Harrington Auditorium. With the win, the Engineers are now 11-8 and the Rams are 15-7.
Catherine Reynolds (Concord, NH) doled out a match-best 23 assists and four service aces while Colleen Mullins (Andover, MA) and Abbie Gilbert (Hopkinton, MA) totaled five more aces for the Engineers. Kayleigh Campbell (Wilbraham, MA) and Kate Amrein (Nashua, NH) each came up with seven digs to go with six from Gilbert and Maddie Sanborn (Londonderry, NH).
Kenzley Bell (Lake Park, GA) smashed nine kills for Suffolk and was followed by Emerson Martin (Nashua, NH) with six. Harmony Johnson (Riverside, CA) added 21 assists and Dakhensey Marcellus (Brockton, MA) delivered a match-best 15 digs.
WPI is at Emmanuel Thursday at 7pm and Suffolk heads to Keene State on Saturday for a trimatch with UMass Dartmouth.
