Boston, MA --- Rensselaer ran away with the 2011 Engineers Cup on Saturday at Franklin Park in Boston, coming ahead of host MIT and WPI. Jeff Corelli (Latham, NY) led RPI, coming in first with a time of 26:44.00.
The Crimson and Gray would finish third, led by Dominic Gonzalez (Lowell, MA) led the way, finishing ninth with a time of 27:28.00.
Scott Burger (Huntington Station, NY) was three seconds behind in tenth place with a time of 27:31.00. They were followed by Shane Ruddy (Seneca Falls, NY - 14th/27:43.00), Thomas Kostelak (Bernardsville, NJ - 19th/28:15.00), Andrew Zayac (Plymouth, MA - 20th/28:16.00), Robert Hollinger (Averill Park, NY - 22nd/28:36.00) and Lucas Smith-Horn (Ellington, CT - 25th/28:47.00).
WPI races again next Saturday when they compete at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational at 10:30am.
