Boston, MA --- The WPI women's cross country team placed 31st at the NEICAAA All-New England Championships at Franklin Park on Saturday. Division I New Hampshire scored 61 points to secure the team title and the Engineers logged 835 points.
Junior Julie Tevenan (Weymouth, MA) was the only Engineer to crack the top 100 with a 96th-place time of 18:54.5. Freshman Emily Newman (Easton, MA) finished 114th (19:02.8) and freshman Lea Strangio (Watertown, MA) was 197th (20:14.9). Senior Maria Grandoni (Framingham, MA) crossed the finish line in 213th (20:27.1) as sophomore Liz Hansen (Richmond, RI) and senior Caitlin Walde (Edmonds, WA) were 220th (20:30.2) and 221st (20:30.7), respectively.
The Engineers are idle until heading to the Williams Invitational on October 25th.
