Brunswick, ME --- Ryan Moran (Pembroke, MA) and Austin Scott (Waddington, NY) placed third and fourth to lead the WPI men's cross country team to a second place showing at the Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday.
The Polar Bears needed only 21 points to win while the Engineers totaled 37. Maine Farmington as third (94) and Lyndon State was fourth (97).
Moran clocked a 26:03.4, exactly a second faster than Scott. Nathan Stomberg (West Greenwich, RI) came home eighth (26:52.1) and Justin Trott (North Hampton, NH) placed 10th (26:59.3) for the Engineers. Tobin Dancy (Shrewsbury, MA), Michael Brady (Medway, MA) and Jason Bugarin (Fitchburg, MA) shored up the top seven in 12th (27:16), 13th (27:23.4) and 14th (27:23.9), respectively.
WPI is idle until the Worcester City Meet on September 26 at Moore State Park in Paxton,
