Boston, MA --- Senior Ari Rozen (Carver, MA) secured All-Conference accolades for the third time in her career in helping the WPI women's cross-country team finish fourth at the 2019 NEWMAC Championships hosted by Babson at Franklin Park.
No. 3 MIT captured the team crown with 19 points. Mount Holyoke (80 points) came in second and Wellesley (92) came in third. WPI, who is ranked No. 12 in the USTFCCCA New England Regional Poll, posted 116 for its fourth-place finish. Coast Guard (141) came in fifth, followed by Smith (142), Wheaton (182), Springfield (195), Babson (217), Emerson (328) and Clark (333).
Freshman Grace Hadley (North Reading, MA) crossed the finish line at 24:07 to finish 33rd, and senior Callie Schadt (Brewster, MA) was a second behind to finish 34th. Sophomore Mary Scrivanich (Old Tappan, NJ) finished 44th to round out the WPI runners in the Top 50.
Also for WPI, junior Keely Nistler (Vadnais Heights, MN) was 51st, freshman Lora Dufresne (Sutton, MA) 55th, freshman Kaylee Gladu (Woonsocket, RI) 56th, sophomore Nicole Whipkey (Portland, ME) 66th, junior Amanda Lowther (Syracuse, NY) 81st, and freshman Elise Deshusses (Chapel Hill, NC) 133rd.
WPI will head to Bowdoin for the New England Regional Championships on November 16.
