Jeff
Meyer (Denver, CO) swam to three first place finishes and
Mason Ruffing (Stone Mountain, CA) picked up a
victory of his own in a 141-93 loss to Keene State on Saturday.
Meyer took the top spot in the 500 (4:55.92) and 1000-yard
(10:09.66) freestyles before winning the 200-yard breaststroke with
his time of 2:17.86 ahead of teammate
Minh Truong
(West Roxbury, MA) who finished third (2:38.37) in the event.
Ruffing had an outstanding day in the pool as well with his top
finish in the 200-yard butterfly (2:02.70) before earning second in
the 200-yard IM (2:07.39) and third in the 200-yard backstroke
(2:11.84).
Sophomore
Steve Rose (Worcester, MA) placed
second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.81) and third in the
100-yard free (51.12) while
Lee Chiang (Lexington,
MA),
Dan White (Sidney, ME) and
David
Keck (Orwigsburg, PA) finished third in the 50-yard
freestyle, 500-yard freestyle and 200-yard butterfly,
respectively.
Diver
Paul Heslinga (Barnstable, MA) placed third
in the one meter event (126.45) before taking second in the three
meter (106.95).
Men's swimming and diving enjoys some time off and returns
on January 12th when they compete at Bryant beginning at noon.
