Hastings marks his first year with the men’s rowing coaching staff in 2023.

The Worcester local is no stranger to rowing as he has served at St. John’s High School as the boys' rowing team assistant coach periodically since 1993 where he also holds the status as a social studies teacher. Coach Hastings marked a four-year stint at Shrewsbury as a director and head coach of the girls' rowing team from 2017-2021.

Hastings holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Assumption and master’s degree in public administration from Clark.
