Robert Owen begins his third season on the WPI swimming and diving coaching staff in 2022-23.

A six-time NCAA Division I All-American, Owen was a two-time captain for the Virginia Tech swimming and diving program.  He was a three-time individual ACC Champion in 400 IM and helped the Hokies claim the 2014 ACC championship.

Owen represented USA Swimming in the World University Games (Taipei, Taiwan) where he was a finalist in the 200 backstroke in 2017 and was an Olympic Swimming trials finalist (6th) in 2016.

He is currently a Systems Engineer for Raytheon and is based out of Marlborough, MA
