WORCESTER --- Men's Rowing's varsity eight and second varsity defeated Connecticut College Saturday in racing on Lake Quinsigamond. The races were the Engineers first competition since October of 2019.
On a cold and chilly day of racing with a 10 mph tailwind, WPI's varsity eight posted a time of 6:21.300 to knock off Connecticut College (7:06.131) by nearly 45 seconds. The second varsity eight was also impressive, reaching the finish line in a time of 7:06.131 to best the Camels (7:28.665).
The Crimson and Gray is back at it on Sunday, hosting Trinity on Lake Quinsigamond.
