Norton, MA --- WPI men's soccer extended their shutout streak to six games in the scoreless draw at Wheaton in a NEWMAC match on Saturday afternoon.
The Engineers stand at 4-3-6 overall with a 2-1-1 mark in NEWMAC play as the Lyons possess a 2-3-6 record and 1-0-2 mark in conference action.

Luke Savoie (Mansfield, MA) registered the first look for WPI just 83 seconds into action in Norton as it was steered away by Wheaton's
Michael O'Gara (Ardmore, PA).
WPI and Wheaton exchanged rips as
Ryan Martin (Douglas, MA) saved his first shot faced in the 39th minute from the boot of
Baden McLaughlin (Yarmouth, ME).
Brennan Garcia Hilger (Los Angeles, CA) got the offensive rolling with a trio of shots as
Billy Chissoe (Gig Harbor, WA) and
Matthew Biando (Atlanta, GA) joined the shooting spree but did not find the back of the net to start second half of action.
In the final 13 minutes of play, the Engineers continued to attack with a header by
Anthony Coutts (Millis, MA) and additional shots by Savoie and final attempt at in the 89th minute from
Aaron Vaz (Medford, MA).
Saturday afternoon's match at Keefe Field featured evenly-matched offensive attacks as the Crimson and Gray and the hosting Lyons recorded 12 shots each with the advantage of shots on frame leading towards WPI, 6-3.
With today's result, the Engineers have compiled six-straight shutouts totaling 513:42 of game time without conceding a goal dating back to September 19 against Amherst.
Martin posted three saves in 90 minutes of action as O'Gara compiled six saves in the draw.
WPI will entertain Springfield league action after a break for A-Term finals on Saturday, October 14 at 3pm. Wheaton returns to Keefe Field tomorrow as the Lyons will host Roger Williams in a non-conference tilt scheduled for 2pm.
