Lewisburg, PA --- The WPI track and field team wrapped up a successful weekend of competition at the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Bucknell University on Saturday and Sunday.

Highlighting the meet for the Engineers, graduate student
Grace Hadley (North Reading, MA) had an exceptional run in the 1500m going 4:17.36, to set a new school record by over 12 seconds. The time is the best in NCAA Division III this season and the fifth-best time in division history. Hadley continued her fantastic meet on Sunday, running 2:11.17 in a 16th-place finish in the 800m, a time that puts her seventh on the national list.

In the javelin, senior
Elizabeth Matticoli (South Brunswick, NJ) placed 10th overall with a 40.93m toss. Her mark is currently the best in the conference and region, and ninth overall in Division III. On the men's side, juniors
Lucas Anthony (Lincoln, MA) and
Michael Neff (West Hartford, CT) each notched season-best distances. Anthony threw 53.90m to place 14th and Neff went 52.38m to take 16th.

Vivienne Evans (Newtown Square, PA) also nabbed a season-best time, going 12.38 to place 15th overall in the 100m dash. In the men's results, freshman
Sam Manteria (Wilbraham, MA) ran a PR of 11.08, while sophomore
Alex Cole (Weymouth, MA) ran an 11.33.

Brett Gerlach (Lock Haven, PA) had a great weekend of competition. In the triple jump, he recorded a personal-best distance of 13.45m, placing fourth overall. His weekend began with a seventh-place finish in the high jump on Saturday, where he went a season-best 1.93m to place seventh overall.

Morgan Collins (Hudson, MA) notched a season-best discus throw, taking seventh overall with a distance of 39.70m.

Rounding out the highlights, the men's 4x100m of freshman
Koray Boybeyi (Reston, VA), senior
Tristan Andrew (Newtown, CT), Manteria, and Cole notched a top-10 finish, going a season-best time of 42.28.

The Engineers will be back in action next weekend with two meets on tap. The George Davis Invitational runs Friday and Saturday at UMass-Lowell, while MIT's Sean Collier Distance Invitational will take place on Friday.
