Boston, MA ---
Olivia Toolin (Bedford, NH) scored early for WPI women's soccer but UMass Boston drew even 10 minute later on a penalty kick and the two squads then played 75 minutes of scoreless soccer as the two teams played to a 1-1 tie in a non-conference match-up Wednesday evening in a match played at BC High adjacent to the UMass Boston campus.

Lexi Carim (Wallingford, CT) near the right corner. The senior sent a cross towards the net that deflected off of UMB defender and was collected and belted into the goal by Toolin for her third goal of the season and 10th of her career at 5:26
Â
The hosts got what proved to be the equalizer just under 10 minutes later when a WPI handball in the box saw the Beacon award a penalty kick.Â
Sofia Schallmo (Norwood, MA) stepped up for UMass Boston and drilled the penalty into the upper right corner for the forward's third goal of her rookie season.
Â
