Cambridge, MA --- WPI women's rowing entered a pair of boats this Sunday at the venerable Head of the Charles Regatta. The varsity eight finished in 13th place and the second varsity eight placed 34th in the Women's Collegiate Eights.
The varsity eight (WPI 'A') began by arriving at Riverside in 4:04.989, having the clock read 9:41.470 when they passed Weld, reached CBC in 14:40.740 and turned in a final split of 3:08.095 to finish the race with a time of 17:48.835. The showing with the top 18 assured the Crimson and Gray an automatic entry in the 2026 HOCR Collegiate Eight.
The varsity eight (WPI 'B') reached the finish line in a time of 19:23.331. The Engineers posted a split of 4:27.261 at Riverside, reached Weld in 10:28.707, arrived at CBC in 15:53.888 and took 3:29.443 from there to the finish line.
WPI closes out the 2025 fall season on Saturday, October 28th competing on Lake Quinsigamond in the Wormtown Chase Regatta.
