Men’s Cross Country Post Trio of All-Conference Performances in Runner-Up Finish at NEWMAC Championships

Attleboro, MA --- WPI Men's Cross Country placed five in the top 20 to place second in the 2025 NEWMAC Cross Country Championships held at the Mark Coogan Cross Country Course at Highland Park hosted by Wheaton.

MIT, ranked 11th in the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country National Coaches' Poll in Week 6, secured the conference championship title with 20 points with their top five runners finishing within the top eight including the top three. Individually, MIT's Tim Neumann (Downers Grove, IL) earned the title as he completed the course in 25:07.9. Worcester's Engineers finished second as a program with 60 points followed by Babson that took third (63), Coast Guard (83) and Springfield (165) to round out the top five. 


WPI, led by Everett Mosher (Chester, VT), crossed the finish line at 25:14.3 which was good for fourth overall en route to earning Rookie of the Year honors in his first season with the Crimson and Gray cross country program. Drew O'Reilly (Syracuse, NY) finished 12th overall with a 26:10.7 time as Brinson Wyche (Corvallis, MT) clocked in a 26:18.5 time for 14th overall to round out All-NEWMAC honors for the Crimson and Gray. Henry Jacobsen (Bolton, MA) rounded out the top 15 with a 26:21.2 time and fourth overall for the Crimson and Gray. Thomas Skerry (Dedham, MA) concluded the course in a 26:39.0 time for 22nd overall.

Mosher, separately was awarded the NEWMAC Men's Cross Country Laurels of Academic Excellence, presented to the student-athlete with the highest GPA competing at the NEWMAC Championship.

The Engineers will continue their postseason journey next Saturday at 11am at the NCAA Regional Championship hosted by Suffolk in Contoocook, NH.
