Marlboro, MA — WPI Women's Soccer juniors Jess English (Ledyard, CT), Maeve Steckley (Rochester, NY) and freshman Sera Brunner (Littleton, CO) were selected to New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Postseason All-Conference teams as voted on by league coaches at the conclusion of the regular season.
English collected All-NEWMAC First Team honors, while Steckley and Brunner were recognized on the All-NEWMAC Second Team.
English, a junior captain, earned her second consecutive All-Conference nod and first career First Team selection after anchoring a back line that helped the Engineers to an 11-7-3 overall record and a 5-4-2 ledger in NEWMAC play. English started every contest, logging heavy minutes in the center of the WPI defense as the Crimson and Gray limited opponents to just 24 goals over 21 matches. English also supported the attack, generating chances out of the back and on set pieces while serving as one of the team's primary organizers in possession.
Steckley was rewarded with her first career All-NEWMAC accolade following a breakout junior campaign in the attacking third. The Rochester native finished second amongst the program in scoring with seven goals and in overall points with 19. Steckley proved particularly clutch with a team-best four game-winning goals, including several decisive strikes in NEWMAC play.
Brunner made the most of her debut season with the Crimson and Gray as she registered one goal on 11 shots and a pair of assists in 15 appearances for the Engineers en route to earning an All-NEWMAC Second Team honor.
English, Steckley and Brunner helped WPI to its 11-win season and a return to the NEWMAC Tournament as the sixth seed in 2025. The Engineers advanced past No. 3 Emerson in the quarterfinal tilt and bowed out to of the tournament No. 2 Springfield in the semifinal to conclude the campaign.
