Hopkinton, NH — The WPI Women's Cross Country program finished 12th as a team at the 2025 NCAA Division III East Region Championships hosted by Suffolk at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, New Hampshire, on Saturday afternoon.
WPI compiled 402 teams points for 12th as Tufts, ranked second in the USTFCCCA Week 7 East Regional Rankings, took home the regional title with 51 points just ahead of No. 1 MIT that posted 61 points. No. 4 Brandeis finished third (117), followed by No. 5 Suffolk (153) and No. 3 Bowdoin rounded out the top-five with 158.
Individually, MIT's
Kate Sanderson completed the 6k run at 21:20.1 besting teammate
Rujuta Sane that finished runner-up at 21:26.4.
Leah White of Bates clocked in at 21:28.1 for third ahead of Bridgewater State's
Naomi Cass 21:32.2 for fourth overall rounded out by Tufts'
Elizabeth Donahue that crossed the finish line at 21:36.8.
For WPI, senior
Sophia Reynolds (Andover, NH) finished 54th overall at 23:22.2 followed by first-year
Kaleigh Carnazza (Virginia Beach, VA) at 24:12.3 for 82nd.
Beth Brown (Allentown, PA) and
Grace Connell (Far Hills, NJ) finished just under three seconds apart for 89-90th overall. Other times posted were
Sabrina Cady (Lowell, MA) - 24:52.8,
Beth Irwin (Guilderland, NY) - 25:16.7 and
