United Soccer Coaches All-Region - WPI Women's Soccer
WORCESTER — WPI Women's Soccer trio of Jess English (Ledyard, CT), Sera Brunner (Littleton, CO) and Maeve Steckley (Rochester, NY) to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Women's Soccer All-Region II team as announced by the United Coaches Association.

English makes her second appearance to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region II team, this year on the second team as she started every contest, logging extensive minutes as a part of the WPI defense that limited opponents to just 24 goals over 21 matches this fall. The junior captain also supported the attack creating chances out of the back and on set pieces. English earned her third-career All-NEWMAC postseason nod and claimed a spot on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.

Brunner made the most of her rookie campaign with the Engineers as she registered one goal on 11 shots and a pair of assists in 15 appearances for the Crimson and Gray en route to earning an All-NEWMAC Second Team honor and spot on the All-Region third team in 2025.

Steckley posted seven goals and five assists on the season for WPI in a breakout stint as the junior striker compiled a team second-best 19 points. The Rochester native called game with four game-winning tallies including the goal that helped the Engineers advance past third seeded Emerson in the NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinal contest. Steckley earned third team honors as she started in all 21 matches for the Crimson and Gray this fall.

This year's regional honors marks the 9th-, 10th and 11th regional accolades from the United Soccer Coaches since 2017 under the direction of head women's soccer coach Steph Riley-Schafer.

The Engineers finished the season with an 11-7-3 overall record and a 5-4-2 mark in NEWMAC action.
