GAME ONE
Salve got on the board for the first time in the second inning of action and added at least one run in the third, fifth, seventh and ninth innings of play.
After some small ball helped to score the first five runs of the game, Salve Regina concluded the first game of the day with some long trippers as
Evan O'Rourke (Arlington, VA), who finished the day with four RBIs and three runs scored in a 2-for-5 outing, launched a solo shot in the seventh and a two-run homer in the final inning of action.
GAME TWO
Salve was the first to get on the board in game one putting one run on the board in the top of the third but the Engineers answered back in the fifth inning.
Spencer Merrick (Abington, MA) started things off getting hit by a pitch. He advanced to second on a single down the leftfield line and to third following a throwing error that loaded the bases. A single to left center from George drove in a pair of runs and gave the Engineers their first lead of the day.
But Salve regained the lead in the seventh and added to it in the eighth en route to the season finale win.
