Women’s Basketball Posts Four Honorees to 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District Team

CSC Academic All-District - WPI Women's Basketball
WORCESTER – WPI Women's Basketball's Alice Kelly (Wethersfield, CT), Shannon Reno (Millbury, MA), Caitlyn Dasaro (Fairfield, VT), and Megan Stone (Hanson, MA) have been named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for NCAA Division III.
 
Kelly collects her second consecutive Academic All-District honor after starting all 27 games and ranking second on the team in scoring (10.7 ppg) and rebounding (4.8 rpg). The senior forward shot 38.2% from the floor and 77.8% at the free throw line while adding 77 assists, 17 blocks, and 29 steals. Off the court, Kelly claims a 3.75 grade-point average in materials science and engineering.
 
Reno served as the team's steady floor general, starting all 27 games at point guard and dishing out a team-best 65 assists. The veteran point guard chipped in 3.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game while leading the team with 28 steals. Reno owns a 3.88 graduate GPA in systems engineering and is a three-time NEWMAC Academic All-Conference selection.
 
Dasaro earned her first Academic All-District nod after a breakout season in the backcourt for the Crimson and Gray. The senior guard averaged 5.8 points and 4.1 rebounds while appearing in all 27 contests with 26 starts. Dasaro shot an efficient 46.2% from the field and recorded seven blocks and 17 steals. Dasaro is majoring in environmental engineering and sports a 3.68 GPA.
 
Stone rounds out the honorees after a productive junior season in the post. The junior forward appeared in all 27 games, starting 26, and ranked third on the team in scoring (6.5 ppg) and fourth in rebounding (3.8 rpg) while shooting a team-best 59.7% from the field. The junior forward is a biomedical engineering major with a 3.81 grade-point average and is a two-time NEWMAC Academic All-Conference selection.
 
The quartet helped the Crimson and Gray post a 13-14 overall record and a 5-6 mark in NEWMAC play, earning a berth in the conference tournament for the sixth straight season. All four honorees were also recognized on the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team.
