Marlboro, MA ---
WPI softball junior
Naomi Boldebuck (Billerica, MA) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, March 29.
Joining Boldebuck is Springfield's Amelia DeRosa who was named the NEWMAC Athlete of the Week.
Boldebuck was dominant across two appearances, posting a 2-0 record with a 1.62 ERA over 13.0 innings. The junior right-hander surrendered just seven hits while striking out seven and issuing only one walk, helping lead WPI to victories over Worcester State and Wellesley.
The highlight of the week came in the opener against Worcester State, where Boldebuck fired a six-inning no-hitter, marking her second of her career, while striking out five. Boldebuck followed that effort with a complete-game performance against Wellesley, anchoring the Crimson and Gray's NEWMAC-opening road sweep.
The weekly accolade marks the first for Boldebuck and the first for the Crimson and Gray in 2026.
WPI turns to six-game home stand featuring its season opener on Tuesday against Emmanuel before returning to NEWMAC play on Friday and Saturday versus Wheaton and Emerson respectively.
