WORCESTER --
Asha Comiso (West Hartford, CT) scored her first goal of the season, while
Maeve Steckley (Irondequoit, NY) and
Sarah Frye (Nashua, NH) also found the back of the net as Women's Soccer posted a 3-0 NEWMAC victory over Mount Holyoke Saturday afternoon at H.Carr Field at Alumni Stadium.
The Engineers improve to 6-4-1 overall and 2-0-1 in NEWMAC play, while the Lyons fall to 3-4-2 on the season and 0-2 in conference action.
Prior to kickoff, WPI honored its seven-member senior class as part of Senior Day festivities. The group recognized included

The Engineers generated several quality chances in the opening half before breaking through with 4:20 remaining.
Madison Shaw (Cheshire, CT) sent an early attempt wide before Adiletta tested
Emma Zoubok (Somers, NY) twice in the opening 20 minutes. Mount Holyoke nearly answered when
Addy Grant (Rocky Hill, CT) struck the crossbar in the 15th minute. WPI continued to pressure, with Mohl forcing a save in the 36th minute before Comiso finished off a feed from
Madisen McLeod (Ledyard, CT) at 40:40 to give the Engineers a 1-0 advantage at the break.
WPI doubled its advantage just 5:49 into the second half.
Abigail Johnson (Middletown, CT) hit the crossbar, and Steckley collected the rebound before sending a shot into the top right corner for her second goal of the season. The Engineers continued to create opportunities, and Frye added the third goal at 69:41 after
Delaney Mohl (Hopewell Junction, NY) saw her shot stopped by Zoubok, with the rebound falling to Frye for the finish.
Abigail Marsolais (Norton, MA) made two saves to earn her second consecutive shutout and third victory of the season. Zoubok kept the Lyons within striking distance with five saves.
WPI finished with a 22-5 advantage in shots and held an 8-2 edge in shots on goal. The Engineers also earned seven corner kicks compared to two for Mount Holyoke. Steckley led all players with four shots, while Adiletta and Frye each recorded three and Mohl added two.
WPI steps out of conference for the final time of the 2026 regular season, welcoming No. 13 Colby to Worcester on Wednesday for a 7pm kickoff. Mount Holyoke is off until next Saturday, beginning a two-game homestand with a 1pm matchup with Wheaton.
