Jacob Ashworth enters his first season as an assistant with the Engineers in 2022-2023. 

Ashworth begins his tenure at WPI after a standout career at UMass Dartmouth that saw him named All-Little East four times and earning an All-NABC first team All-District nod in 2021-22.  Ashworth finished his UMass Dartmouth career ranked 10th on the all-time scoring list with 1,659 points and helped lead the Corsairs to the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Sectionals in 2022. 

The Fairhaven native assisted with the Blue Devils this past winter after coaching the previous two seasons with his father Scott at Bourne High School.  Ashworth, who also coaches with the Mass Saints AAU program, graduated from UMass Dartmouth in 2021 with a degree in mathematics and is currently pursing his master's in education at UMD.
