Adam Coffin begins his first season with the WPI Sports Medicine staff as an athletic trainer after serving as the head athletic trainer at Palmer High School during the 2025-26 academic year. In that role, he provided comprehensive medical coverage for the school's athletic programs, including injury evaluation and rehabilitation, concussion management, emergency action planning, medical clearances, and communication with coaches, parents and medical providers.
Prior to Palmer, Coffin gained experience as a per diem athletic trainer at East Longmeadow High School and through clinical placements at Westfield State University, Belchertown High School, West Springfield High School and with the Western New England University football program. His clinical experience included orthopedic evaluations, therapeutic exercise and modalities, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and concussion evaluation and return-to-play programming.
A native of South Deerfield, Massachusetts, Coffin earned a Bachelor of Science in athletic training and movement science with a concentration in preventative health and physical activity, along with a minor in coaching, from Westfield State University in 2024. He is a Massachusetts-licensed athletic trainer and a Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer. He also holds current Basic Life Support certification.
