Aidan Callahan joins the WPI Men's Basketball coaching staff for his first season ahead of the 2025-2026 campaign.
Callahan wrapped up his career with the Engineers as a four-year starter and helped the class of 2025 compile a 96-15 (.865) overall record. Callahan was a four-year contributor to the program as he logged 112 starts for the Crimson and Gray helping them to a 27-3 record in 2021-22 reaching the NCAA Men's Basketball Sectional Final contest after claiming the NEWMAC Championship and book ended his career with a 26-4 record, NEWMAC Regular Season Championship and another trip to the NCAA Men's Basketball Sectional Semifinal in 2024-25.
The former captain point guard compiled All-America honors from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and D3hoops.com became the second in recent program history to claim status as a consensus All-America since Ryan Cain who claimed such feat after the 2006-07 campaign. Additionally, Callahan was selected as the NEWMAC Men's Basketball Athlete of the Year in addition to collecting All-NEWMAC First Team honors following the 2024-25 season.
