Amanda Chaiyabhat joins the softball coaching staff with nearly two decades of collegiate, scholastic, and travel-ball coaching experience, specializing in pitching and player development.

Chaiyabhat has spent the past four seasons at Roger Williams as an assistant coach, pitching coach, and recruiting coordinator, helping guide the Hawks to CCC playoff appearances in 2022 and 2024 while overseeing one of the conference’s most improved pitching staffs. Prior to her time at RWU, she coached at NCAA Division I Brown during the 2018 season and served four seasons as an assistant coach and pitching coach at Hood College, helping lead the Blazers to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances.

A former standout pitcher, Chaiyabhat earned NJCAA All-Conference and All-Region honors at McHenry County College, where she was the team MVP and holds the program’s single-season ERA record. She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in physical education with concentrations in teacher education and athletic training from Illinois State.
