Galen Holmes enters his 13th season on the WPI coaching staff, serving as Defensive Line Coach and Special Teams Coordinator.

Holmes has developed 22 all-conference defensive linemen and nine all-conference special teams performers, including back-to-back NEWMAC Special Teams Players of the Year. He previously coached at Division II Assumption and Division III Nichols before joining the WPI staff.

Holmes also serves as a strength and conditioning coach within the athletic department.

A graduate of Bridgewater State, Holmes earned a degree in physical education with a concentration in exercise science. He played four years under legendary head coach Peter Mazzaferro.
